DX5000 FM Synthesizer

Rediscover the legendary sound of classic FM synthesis with the power and flexibility of two complete DX7-based synthesis engines.

The EMW DX-5000 features two independent FM synthesizers, Part A and Part B, each based on the DX7 architecture and providing 16 voices of polyphony, for a total of up to 32 voices. Each Part also includes its own dedicated effects processor with Chorus, Phaser, Delay and Reverb.

With 1,400 internal sounds and 256 user memory locations (1,656 total), the DX-5000 provides access to more than 1,360 sounds. Part A and Part B can use different timbres and be combined in SPLIT mode, with each Part assigned to a different keyboard range, or LAYER mode, with both Parts played simultaneously.

A dedicated MIXER screen provides individual control over the volume and stereo position (PAN) of each Part, while flexible MIDI configuration allows both Parts to be controlled from a single MIDI channel or independently through separate channels.

The DX-5000 also features extensive MIDI CC implementation for selecting functions, changing parameters and controlling patches in real time, making it easy to integrate with MIDI controllers, sequencers and other equipment in both studio and live environments.

EMW also provides an online sound library where users can explore and load new patches directly into the DX-5000 through the EMW patch library website, making it easy to experiment with new sounds and expand the instrument's sound collection.
